Job Purpose

To manage daily accounting operations across multiple projects under Umami Projects, ensuring accurate financial records and timely reports that guide management decisions. The accountant will handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and assist with financial planning and analysis across all assigned businesses.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records for multiple projects under Umami Projects.
• Ensure compliance with البحرينi accounting standards and الشركة policies.
• Handle accounts payable (suppliers, vendors) and accounts receivable (customers, delivery platforms).
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements, cash flow, and petty cash balances for all assigned projects.
• Post journal entries and review the general ledger regularly.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
• Ensure timely VAT filing and compliance with LMRA/SIO regulations when related to payroll.
• Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
• Monitor inventory costs, margins, and profitability by project or branch.
• Support management with MIS (Management Information System) reporting and performance summaries.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of proven experience in the F&B or restaurant sector in البحرين.
• Strong knowledge of Zoho Books (or similar accounting software).
• Familiarity with VAT, LMRA, and SIO procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently.
