The Assistant Factory Manager is responsible for managing and grow its manufacturing operations, consisting of over 700+ joinery factory workers, display cases, bespoke interiors and joinery products to fulfil the requirements of the joinery division.

Role Description
  • Enhance efficiency in existing processes and facilities and propose improvements and mechanization throughout the production cycle
  • Experience in joinery shop fittings and other section works such as assembly, milling, veneer, polishing, upholstery, etc., all kinds of joinery works
  • Experience in managing the shop floor daily and monitoring all sections' workload and ensuring smooth running of daily activities
  • Overseeing the production process, drawing up a production schedule, leading and managing work alالموقع in liaison with shop floor supervisors
  • Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed
  • Strong background in production processes like CNC, laser, or machining, all modern equipment
  • Good knowledge of different finishes and methods to achieve the finishes
  • Optimises the machining processes in terms of consistent quality and productivity
  • Oversees planning for the new product development process, selection of machines, tools, fixtures, and inspection methods
  • Improve the standard of the الشركة's manufacturing operation to bring it in line with European manufacturing facilities (in terms of housekeeping, good practices, product handling, health & safety, planning and organization)
  • Increase the الشركة's capacity in an efficient/ competitive manner
  • Improve quality of products and manufacturing methods and processes
  • In-depth technical knowledge of manufacturing techniques, details, processes; familiar with all types of raw materials, adhesives and finishing materials to organize and lead the task at hand with a clear vision and objective
  • Takes ownership in resolving technical challenges and bottlenecks on the shop floor. Develop and lead the continuous improvement activities within the team
  • Co-ordinate and maintain good working relationships between different production and support functions (Metal, Purchasing, Stores, Logistics, H&S etc.
  • Manage staff selection, performance, development, and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations
Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience working in a factory management role of a large furniture and joinery manufacturing الشركة
  • A self-driven and proactive person with a strong personality and good man-management skills, who can efficiently lead a workforce of over 700+ workers
  • Very strong technical and execution capabilities with the ability to solve technical problems and details. Must have a good understanding of Capacity management
  • Sound knowledge of woodworking business, particularly technical aspects relating to joinery and case good construction methods, finishing procedures, timber and veneers, familiarity with various woodworking machinery, etc.
  • An understanding of Lean manufacturing techniques and the ability to implement change
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully in a multinational environment
  • Good knowledge of planning and resource alالموقع
  • Sound knowledge of manufacturing in architectural joinery, including sourcing of refurbishing machinery
  • Expert in all technical aspects related to production and production support functions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and experience with ERP will be an added advantage
