Librarian
We are in need of a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team in Isa Town. The ideal candidate should have a passion for books and knowledge, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills. The role of the Librarian will be to manage the library's collection, assist patrons with finding resources, and maintain a welcoming and organized environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the library's collection by cataloging, shelving, and weeding materials
- Assist patrons with finding resources and provide research assistance
- Maintain a welcoming environment by providing excellent customer service to all patrons
- Plan and facilitate library programs and events, such as book clubs or author visits
- Create displays to promote new materials or specific topics
- Collaborate with other librarians and staff to develop new services or improve existing ones
- Train library volunteers or interns as needed
- Keep up-to-date with new technology and trends in the library field
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a library setting is highly desirable
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of library cataloging systems
- Familiarity with reference resources
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is preferred
Working Conditions:
