AWS - Information Technology/Computer Hardware Internship (2026 Intern-to-Full-Time Pathway), البحرين

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is growing rapidly, and we are looking for Data Center Technician Interns to join our expanding team. This internship is designed as a potential pathway to full-time employment. Interns who demonstrate strong performance throughout their internship and are successful upon completion may be considered for a full-time Data Center Technician المنصب, subject to available open roles and business needs at that time.

Candidate Profiles

We are targeting two candidate profiles:

• Recent 2025 Graduates: If you have recently graduated (or are due to graduate by early 2025) in Information Technology, Computer Hardware Repair, or a related technical field, this opportunity is for you. Once you complete the 12 week internship, you may transition directly into a full time role.
• Final Year Students (Graduating 2026): If you are currently in your final year of studies in Information Technology, Computer Hardware Repair, or a related technical field, we want to hear from you. Once you complete the 12 week internship, you may commence as a full time employee by the end of 2026, aligned with your graduation.

Internship start dates are flexible from April to October 2026. Transition to a full time role is subject to successful performance during the internship, role availability, and business needs.

Note: Amazon does not sponsor immigration, including for H 1B, TN, and other non immigrant visas, for this role.

About the Role

This المنصب involves hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair. Interns will work independently and as part of a team. Work prioritisation, organisational skills, effective communication, and the ability to react quickly are critical to success.

Responsibilities

• Provide internal workforce with infrastructure related support, resolving tickets related to hardware (motherboard, RAM, CPU, GPU, etc.) and networking (link down, optics replacements, switch replacements, etc.).
• Install equipment, create documentation, innovate solutions, and fix complex problems within the data centre space.
• Hardware troubleshooting in servers which are not live with an AWS technician's supervision.
• Understand the importance of meeting SLAs against assigned trouble tickets.
• Follow the AWS technicians during network troubleshooting.
• Replace media (SSD/HDD) according to AWS Data Tech guidance.
• Perform regular server hardware repairs (drives, motherboards, etc.) under the guidance of experienced techs.
• Interact with third party vendors and contractors working on site.

Internship Structure

Amazon internships are full time (40 hours/week) for 12 consecutive weeks. Interns are required to report to work onsite on a daily basis. Both internship and full time roles operate on a standard day schedule, Sunday-Thursday.

Interns who successfully complete the internship and demonstrate strong performance may be considered for a full time Data Center Technician المنصب, subject to role availability and business needs.

Basic Qualifications

• In pursuit of IT Certification or Technical/Bachelors Degree within a relevant technical field such as Information Technology, Computer Hardware Repair, or similar.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment, displaying excellent time management skills.
• Must have access to own transport.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with computer hardware components and operating systems.
• Ability to manage work and priorities through a ticketing system and coordination with manager.
• Interest in computer sciences and information technology.
• Basic knowledge of Linux and networking.
