The Information Security Analyst will play a critical role in monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity threats across enterprise environments. This role ensures strong security visibility, rapid incident response, and continuous protection of organizational assets.

Detailed Job Description

As an Information Security Analyst, you will work within the Security Operations Center (SOC) to analyze security events, investigate anomalies, and manage incident response workflows. You will utilize advanced tools such as Trend Micro XDR, Splunk SIEM, and NDR platforms to detect and mitigate threats across networks and endpoints. Your role will also include improving detection capabilities, supporting proactive threat hunting, and assisting in strengthening overall cybersecurity posture. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective monitoring, reporting, and timely incident management.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events across Trend Micro XDR, Splunk SIEM, and network detection platforms.
• Conduct incident triage, investigation, and response following SOC playbooks.
• Analyze network, user, and system behaviors to detect potential threats or anomalies.
• Support threat detection improvements and develop correlation rules within SIEM tools.
• Prepare incident reports, dashboards, and analysis summaries for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to contain and remediate threats.
• Participate in continuous monitoring, cyber defense, and operational security activities.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 3 years of hands on experience in cybersecurity monitoring and incident response.
• Strong expertise with Trend Micro XDR.
• Practical experience with Splunk SIEM and Splunk Enterprise Security.
• Experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
• Knowledge of Network Detection and Response (NDR) tools and techniques.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, threat vectors, and response practices.
• Strong analytical, investigation, and communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with threat hunting methodologies.
• Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK and SIEM rule creation.
• Exposure to incident management frameworks (NIST, SANS).
• Basic scripting for automation (Python, Bash).
