Qualifications
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Laboratory Science, Science, or an equivalent field
  • Relevant laboratory training or certification is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, safety standards, and equipment
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience in an international school
  • Experience supporting secondary school science laboratories is preferred
Preferred Qualities
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Good knowledge of laboratory health and safety procedures
  • Ability to work effectively with teachers and students
  • Responsible, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe laboratory environment
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and organise science laboratories, equipment, materials, and resources for practical lessons
  • Support teachers and students during laboratory practical activities and experiments
  • Ensure laboratory equipment and materials are maintained, stored, and used safely
  • Monitor laboratory stock and maintain accurate records of chemicals, equipment, and consumables
  • Follow and enforce appropriate laboratory health and safety procedures
  • Assist with the preparation, maintenance, and safe disposal of laboratory materials
  • Ensure laboratories are clean, organised, and ready for lessons
  • Report damaged or faulty equipment and arrange for necessary maintenance or replacement
  • Support teachers with practical demonstrations, experiments, and other science-related activities
  • Collaborate with science teachers and school staff to support effective laboratory operations
  • Participate in school activities and professional development as required
