Al Minar Glasses Co. W.L.L. is a البحرين-based glass, mirror and aluminium الشركة specialising in supply, fabrication and installation works for residential, commercial, retail and hospitality projects. Our work includes glass shopfronts, facades, partitions, mirrors, aluminium works, fit-out glass, shower screens, balustrades and custom glazing solutions. We are looking for an experienced and reliable QS Draughtsman to join our team and support our glass and aluminium projects from drawing preparation through to quantity measurement and project coordination.

Role Overview

The QS Draughtsman will be responsible for preparing accurate AutoCAD 2D drawings for glass and aluminium works, including shopfronts, facades, partitions, doors, windows, cladding and related installation details. The candidate should be able to work independently, understand site requirements, prepare technical drawings, and assist with quantity surveying tasks.

This role is ideal for someone with strong glass/aluminium drafting experience who can also support material take-offs, quantity calculations and project costing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed AutoCAD 2D drawings for glass, aluminium, shopfronts, facades and fit-out works.
  • Create shop drawings, fabrication drawings and installation drawings based on site measurements and project requirements.
  • Read and interpret architectural drawings, site sketches and client requirements.
  • Prepare material take-offs and quantity calculations for glass, aluminium, accessories and related project items.
  • Support the QS side of the work, including measurement, estimation and basic costing.
  • Coordinate with project teams, site staff, clients and suppliers when required.
  • Revise drawings based on client comments, site changes or project updates.
  • Ensure all drawings are accurate, practical and suitable for fabrication and installation.
  • Work independently and manage multiple drawing tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain organised records of drawings, revisions and project documents.
Requirements
  • Must have previous experience preparing AutoCAD 2D drawings.
  • Experience in glass, aluminium, shopfront, facade, partition or fit-out works is strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to prepare accurate shop drawings and technical drawings independently.
  • Quantity surveying experience is preferred, but not mandatory if the candidate is willing and able to handle QS-related tasks.
  • Good understanding of site measurements, fabrication details and installation requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility for assigned projects.
  • Driving licence is preferred, but not required.
  • Must be reliable, detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
  • Salary: BHD 350 per month.
  • Visa sponsorship available for the right candidate.
