Thermal System Design Engineer at LevelUP HCS

Job Summary

The role involves designing and analyzing thermal systems for gas turbine engines (turbojet & turbofan), focusing on heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and propulsion systems. It includes simulation work, system design, and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thermal simulations and mapping of engine components.
• Analyze steady/transient thermal and secondary flows.
• Design and size oil/lubrication systems including seals, bearings, and pumps.
• Develop and validate numerical/experimental methods.
• Review designs and simulations; create testing guidelines.
• Mentor junior engineers and support team development.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or higher.
• 5–15+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong foundation in gas turbine propulsion, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
• Fluent in English.

Skills

• Proficiency in tools like Ansys Workbench, Flomaster, Amesim.
• Experience with FEA, CFD, and 1D flow simulations.
• Programming skills (C, Matlab/Simulink).
• Knowledge of advanced materials, aerodynamics, and structural mechanics.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
